TEXT: DANIEL 3:12-30
MEMORY VERSE: “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou has set up.” Daniel 3:17-18 KJV
King Nebuchadnezzar produces a great example of a leader of what happens when a man comes face to face with the majesty of the living God. Nebuchadnezzar, full of pride, created a 90-feet high golden god whom all his subjects were ordered to worship. It must have been a magnificent sight, gleaming brightly and all alone in the glare of the hot Mesopotamia sun.

He threatened to kill anyone who disobeyed his orders. The three friends of Daniel: Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego refused to worship the statue and made a strong resolution as seen in our memory verse. Before the kings eyes God performed a great miracle. He turned from his idol to God and praised the Lord and demanded that his subjects worship God alone. Let us make resolution that will bring people to God.
