TEXT: JOHN 10:1-16
MEMORY VERSE: “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:9 KJV
The process of entering into a place is if utmost importance for anyone who desires or wants his mission accomplished. This is hinged on the fact that the mood or way you enter determines the kind of reception you will be accorded. In a conventional house, there appears to be more windows that the doors. The windows and doors share similarities but with different purposes. While the window is basically for illumination and ventilation, the door illuminates, ventilates and also serve as a passageway.
To mistake the window for the door will require an extra exercise, struggles, and would certainly need to pass through strain, with the attendant pains. One may be labelled a thief or a burglar. (John 10:10). Unfortunately, so many folks, Christians alike, have thrown caution to the wind by jumping several windows, and ignoring the Door. This they do by patronizing fake prophets, using all manners of fetish and diabolic means to achieve a particular aim. Some are into witchcraft and occultism because of their craving for prosperity. But the question is, Is it worth it? When there is a door, why go through the window? ESOCS Devotional 12 June
