The Emohua Local Government Council has taken delivery of a new batch of 500KVA electricity transformers for distribution to communities across the Local Government Area.
Bright Jossy, Special Adviser on Information and Strategic Communication to the Council Chairman, said the transformers were procured under the council’s #LightUpEmohua rural electrification initiative, aimed at improving power supply across communities in the area.
According to him, he led other council officials to receive the transformers at the council warehouse on Thursday.
Those present included the Local Government Revenue Committee Chairman and PDP Chairman in Emohua, Hon. Jim Morrison, PhD; Ward 2 (Ogbakiri II) Councillor, Hon. Collins Owakah; Special Adviser on Legislative Matters and Protocol Assistant, Hon. Gift Enyi; and Kelvin Ezekwesiru Okoro.
Jossy revealed that distribution to beneficiary communities began immediately, with Oduoha-Ogbakiri and Akpabu communities among the first to receive the transformers.
