A 21-year-old rape victim has called on the Rivers State Government and security operatives to create more checkpoints along major roads at nights to checkmate crime and criminality.
The young lady said this while narrating her ordeal in the hands of a driver who raped her along the Obiri Ikwerre, Airport Road on her way back from work, on Monday.
This was during this a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
According to her, the rapist posed as a cab man and her picked her from Airforce Junction.
She explained that when they got to a dark spot, the man brought out a gun and knife, and threatened to kill her if she resists him.
The victim, said she could not scream because the man revealed that he had already killed a woman who shouted and resisted him.
She noted that the man raped her in the car and later dropped her off.
