The Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sacked some of its Ward Executives over alleged refusal to honour the invitation of the state executive of the party.
Acting Chairman of the party, Omeete Eferebo made this known in a statement in Port Harcourt on Monday.
According to him, a three-man caretaker committee has been set up to run the affairs of the affected wards till further notice.
Part of his statement reads,
“The executive committee of our great great party in the state frowns at the blatantly refusal of this chairmen and secretaries to honour our invitations.
“Flowing from the above therefore, it is revealed that the ward executives of wards 12 and 15 in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area, Ward 9 of Ahoada West LGA, Ward 10 of Tai LGA, and Ward 19 of Port Harcourt LGA intentionally without cause and or recourse to articles 2 .1 and 21.3 of our party’s constitution 2022 as amended, while acting out scripts of some unscrupulous elements in our part wrongly some official of the party.
“The executive committee views the actions of the affected wards as a breach of article 21.1 paragraph 1 and 3 of our party’s constitution 2022 as amended
