The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Rivers State Command, has witnessed a change in leadership as Dr. Dennis Lesor Reuben officially assumed office as the 16th Commandant of the Command.
Dr. Reuben took over from Commandant Okafor Joachim during a handover ceremony held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The ceremony marked the formal transfer of leadership responsibilities, with the outgoing Commandant handing over the affairs of the Command to his successor.
Dr. Reuben pledged to build on the achievements of the Command while strengthening efforts to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, enhance public safety, and improve service delivery across the state.
The event was attended by senior officers of the Corps, stakeholders, and other invited guests who witnessed the transition and expressed confidence in the new Commandant’s ability to lead the Command effectively.
His appointment marks a new chapter for the NSCDC Rivers State Command as it continues its mandate of safeguarding lives, property, and critical national assets in the state.
