A former Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area and immediate past Senior Special Assistant to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Hon. Darlington Orji, alongside former Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Collins Onunwo, have reportedly parted ways with the governor’s camp and realigned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The development follows the circulation of a trending video showing the duo in the company of the Kingsley Chinda and other political allies of Wike.
Orji, who was previously regarded as a close associate of Wike, had defected to Governor Fubara’s camp during the height of the political crisis in Rivers State, declaring his loyalty to the governor.
Less than a year after that move, he has now reportedly returned to Wike’s political camp, alongside Onunwo. Neither Orji nor Onunwo has publicly explained the reason for the reported realignment.
