Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan, formerly known in the music scene as Cynthia Morgan, now MADRINA has in a live Instagram chat, revealed why her music career allegedly failed.
In a live chat with Sandra Ogbebor (MsVania7), an advocate for MADRINA’s comeback, the artiste detailed that her career suffered major setback following a falling out with her former management.
MADRINA was signed by Northside Entertainment, a music label owned by Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye (Brother to the former music duo, Peter and Paul). In the course of the conversation, MADRINA outlined how the disagreement with her former label impacted her health and also resulted in her need to change her name. The copyright to the name Cynthia Morgan was owned by Northside Entertainment.
Although Peter has confirmed MADRINA’s claims while justifying his decision to split from his brothers three years ago, her former manager, Joy Tongo has debunked her claims. However, other artistes have weighed in on the subject via Twitter. You can read some of their tweets below.
