The Rivers State Police Command says about five persons were killed in a clash between two rival cult groups in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.
Spokesperson of the Command, DSP, Grace Koko in a statement said it was a supremacy battle between Icelanders and Greenlanders cult groups.
She stated that investigation into the incident is ongoing and that Police officers have been stationed in the area to restore normalcy
She identified two of the deceased as 36-year-old Chukwujeku Kingsley and a 23-year-old Chibuike ThankGod, adding that the others are yet to be identified.
It was gathered that the incident occurred near an IDP camp in the area.
