The Chairman of the Civil Society Organization in Rivers State, Enefaa Georgewill has called on the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to evacuate Dr. Azoroh from the state isolation centre and conduct another test on him. This is because he suspects a sinister plan by the government following the announcement of the COVID-I9 status of Dr. Azoroh, manager of the demolished Prodest Hotel in Eleme.
Enefaa Georgewill who made this known in a statement today in Port Harcourt questioned when the state government started making names of COVID-19 patients public. He equally queried why the government is handling Dr. Azoroh’s case differently from that of other COVID-19 patients.
Enefaa further queried where the manager contracted the virus, if it was in the cell where he was detained, or the isolation center. He asked if it was at the hotel before he was arrested, how are we sure that the sample used was his, he asserted. He called on the government to make clarifications on the issues raised.
You would recall that the owner of the hotel, Gogobari had earlier raised an alarm that there were plans by the government to infect the manager, with the dreaded COVID-19 in order to justify the demolition of his hotel.
