COVID-19: Security Council Taking Decisions, Totally Wrong – Finebone

Former Spokesperson of the APC and Chieftain of the party in Rivers State, Chris Finebone has reacted to the lifting of the lockdown in Obio-Akpor and PHALGA stating that it wasn’t adding any value to the fight against the pandemic.

Finebone made this known in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday. He noted that testing for the virus in the state was still abysmal while decontamination and fumigation of markets and public places were not taking place.

Chris equally took a swipe at the governor for confirming that the state security council makes decisions governing the fight against the pandemic in the state. He said it is quite sad, shocking, and manifestly wrong, as decisions on the pandemic ought to be taken by a team of health experts.

He stated that “a public health issue like the global pandemic is better driven by a team of health experts rather than a team of security experts,” Chris asserted.
