Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,276 with 7151 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total, Nigeria recordeded 64 new cases. Yobe recorded the highest number of cases with -18, Lagos-16, Delta-10, Katsina-7, Gombe-5, Edo-2, Kano-2, Rivers-2, Kaduna-1 and Kwara-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,982 with 163,331 recoverd patients, and 2,117 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
