Rivers State recorded 70 new cases of covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 11,799 with 11,159 discharged and 153 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 513 new cases.
Lagos recorded
the highest number with -132, FCT-80, Rivers-70, Kaduna-43, Edo-40, Ondo-32, Delta-23, Akwa Ibom-21, Kwara-16, Gombe-12, Anambra-9, Benue-9, Kano-7, Oyo-6, Borno-3, Plateau-3, Bayelsa-2, Kastina-2, Ogun-2 and Jigawa-1.This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 202,704 with 191,370 discharged and 2,664 deaths.
The NCDC has said obeying all covid-19, protocols is key to curbing the spread of the deadly virus.
