Rivers State recorded 16 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,494 with 6,153 discharged and 95 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.

In total, Nigeria recorded 360 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 120, Edo-38, Kaduna-25, FCT-23, Imo-23, Delta-19, Akwa Ibom-17, Plateau-17, Rivers-16, Nasarawa-15, Kwara-13, Oyo-9, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4, Osun-4, Kano-3, Kebbi-3, Niger-2 and Katsina-1.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 156,017 with 133,904 recovered patients, and 1,915 deaths.

The commission has advised Nigerians to Remember to wash their hands at these critical times and also obey all COVID-19 protocols.
