Rivers State recorded 41 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,477 with 6,116 discharged and 94 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.

In total, Nigeria recorded 341 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 96, Rivers-41, Kaduna-33, Edo-21, Osun-20, Akwa Ibom-17, FCT-17, Ondo-15, Gombe-11, Kano-11, Imo-10, Ekiti-9, Kebbi-9, Kwara-8, Oyo-8, Borno-6, Enugu-3, Plateau-3, Delta-1, Niger-1and Ogun-1.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 155,417 with 133,256 recovered patients, and 1,905 deaths.

The commission has advised Nigerians to Remember to wash their hands at these critical times.
