Rivers State recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,387 with 7,211 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 159 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 119, Akwa Ibom-19, Rivers-11, Ogun-5, Ekiti-2, FCT-1, Delta-1 and Kwara-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 169,074 with 164,652 recovered patients, and 2,126 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe with no side effects.
