Former Director General of NIMASA, and APC chieftain Dakuku Adol Peterside, has described the action of Gov. Wike as insensitive, wicked and unlawful. Peterside was reacting to the demolition of Prodest hotel in Eleme by the Governor.
The former NIMASA Boss who made this known in a statement yesterday, said the actions of Gov. Wike is capable of causing chaos in the state. He said, those affected by his actions could result to mass protest, which is capable of exposing the state to more index cases of the COVID-19. Dakuku noted that previous statements from Gov.Wike suggests that he is fighting something else and not the COVID-19 in the state.
Meanwhile, some Civil Society Organisations and lawyers in the state have criticized the governor’s actions. They have said he lacks the powers to demolish and seize people’s properties, except given a go ahead by the courts.
