Rivers State recorded 3 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,332 with 7187 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 74 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 49, Ondo-12, Oyo-3, Rivers-3, Kaduna-2, Ekiti-1, FCT-1, Gombe-1, Jigawa-1 and Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,692 with 164,273 recovered patients, and 2,121 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
