The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a pre-election suit filed by former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, challenging the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, on Friday, struck out the case after Amaechi’s counsel, Jibrin Okutepa (SAN), applied to withdraw the suit.
Okutepa told the court that an application to discontinue the case had already been filed following an amicable resolution between the parties. He subsequently urged the court to strike out the suit, a request Justice Joyce Abdulmalik granted.
