Federal lawmaker representing Etche-Omuma Federal Constituency, Ephraim Nwuzi, has been remanded at the Port Harcourt Correctional Center till March 3 by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt after he was arrested for directing his supporters to kill three INEC Electoral officers.
The Police had accused the lawmaker of treasonable felony, conspiracy, and inciting violence after he was seen in a trending video directing his supporters to kill three INEC staff.
When the matter was mentioned in court today, counsel to the accused, Emenike Ebete, made an oral application for bail following the nature of the case. The prosecution and the Investigation Police Officers in charge of the matter who requested that he be remanded to make way for proper investigation and arraignment opposed the application for bail.
