An Abuja High Court has ruled that Nigerian singer Douglas Jack Agu, popularly known as Runtown, remains legally bound by his 2016 recording contract with Eric Many Limited.
In an enrolment order dated July 16, 2026, Justice O.A. Musa held that the recording agreement signed between the singer and the record label in June 2016 is still valid and has not been lawfully terminated.
The court also ordered Runtown to return to Eric Many Limited and pay ₦319 million in damages for breach of contract. The ruling affirms the continued validity of the agreement and reinforces the label’s contractual rights over the artist.
