The Court Case Between Victims Of Demolished Waterfronts and the Rivers State Government has been adjourned.
The presiding judge, adjourned the matter to February 28, 2022 after listening to both parties.
The victims, had stormed the Rivers State High court this morning, for commencenent of hearing on the suit instituted by them against the state government, over what they described as unlawful demolition of their homes.
The residents, are accusing the state governor of demolishing their buildings without due compensation.
Some of them had in a chat with us, described the demolition without any form of compensation, as “an act of wickedness” adding that the time frame for them to vacate was too short.
Our correspondent who visited some streets along the affected area, confirmed that some persons are still sleeping by the road side more than a week after the demolitions.
