Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Enefaa Georgewill says while residents of demolished Iloabuchi Waterfront are sleeping by the roadside, Gov. Nyesom Wike is busy expanding his mansion at Ada George.
Georgewill, who had blasted the state governor for the forceful eviction of waterfront residents, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
He had earlier described the act as an abuse of human rights, adding that people were forcefully evicted without any form of compensation.
According to him, politicians determine people’s lives for four years, as he urged Rivers people to go get their Permanent Voters Cards.
The state government is expected to begin the second phase of demolitions this week.
