The Independent National Electoral Commission in Rivers State, has reiterated that the collection of Permanent Voters Card is free.
Public Affairs Analyst of the commission in the state, Geraldine Ekelemo disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
She explained that people are expected to present the white slip given to them during registration and if their cards are found, are expected to sign or thumb print and the cards issued to them.
She urged members of the public with evidence of any staff of the commission requesting for money to issue the card to come forward for investigation and possible prosecution.
Mrs. Ekelemo advised persons going to collect their cards not to pay money to anybody, and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
