The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that no lives were lost in the building that collapsed in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace Koko, who confirmed the incident, said there was no occupant in the building when it collapsed.
Meanwhile residents of the area has called on the State Ministry of Urban Development to ensure that such dilapidated structures are demolished to forestall any further disaster
Some of them said such houses are many in the area and that more would likely collapse, if nothing is done.
It was gathered that officials of the Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning are currently working with the owners of the property to pull it down completely.
Recall that a three-story building known as colonial House at Bende street collapsed yesterday. without any casualty.
