Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for transforming Abuja’s City Gate into a major environmental and recreational landmark.
Speaking during a ceremony on the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Green Nigeria Challenge, she described the project as “unbelievable” and said posterity would judge Wike kindly for his contributions to the development of the Federal Capital Territory.
The First Lady also urged states to engage young people in environmental protection by promoting environmental clubs and converting abandoned public spaces into green parks and gardens.
Responding, Wike said the City Gate transformation was inspired by the First Lady’s commitment to environmental sustainability under the Renewed Hope Green Initiative.
