Dr. Lloyd charge the committee to embark on community-to-community enlightenment campaign to sensitize residents of the predicted flash points in the area on the early signs of flood and possible measures towards reducing its effects on the people.

Meanwhile Dr. Chidi Lloyd has called on residents of Emohua local government area, particularly Agba- Ndele; Rumuekpe, Elele-Alimini and Akpabu communities to embark on regular cleaning of their immediate environment, including the drainages and waterways in their respective communities to reduce the effect of the imminent 2023 flood in the area.

The council chairman while charging property owners and business operatives across Emohua LGA to carry out regular cleaning and distilling of drainages close to their properties and business environment, warned that failure to comply with directive of government will attract the full weight of relevant laws.

Dr.Lloyd enjoined community leaders to ensure maximum cooperation in their respective communities.

The council chairman further directed the committee to immediately mobilize manpower for the clearing of the median and distilling of the drainages along the Emohua LGA section of the East-West road; from Emohua/Choba bridge to the boundary between Emohua LGA and Ahoada-East LGA, to aid the operations of security personnel deployed to the area in furtherance of his administration’s commitment towards the fight against crime and criminality in Emohua local government area.
