The Rivers State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has asked religious leaders in the state, to do more on sensitising their congregants on the prevention of the COVID-19.
Chairman of CAN, Stanley Dimkpa in a chat with news correspondents in Port Harcourt today, said the call became necessary because many christians are yet to believe that the virus can be contracted physically.
Dimkpa, who advised Christians to pray God ends the pandemic, urged them to take preventive measures in order not to contract the deadly virus. Obedience is better than sacrifice, he noted.
The CAN Boss further directed religious leaders not to welcome sick persons with COVID-19 symptoms to their places of worship during this period. He directed them to report such cases to hospitals.
