Winners of Nigeria Women Football League (NWPL) Rivers Angels, have qualified for the CAF Women’s Champions League, which will hold in Egypt.
Angels, qualified for the competition, after defeating Amis du Monde FC of Togo 5-1 in the semi-final qualifiers on Monday in Abidjan.
The Nigerian champions will take on Hasaacas of Ghana in the final on Thursday August 5 2021.
Both teams have qualified to represent West Africa in the maiden edition of the CAF women’s champions league.
Before now, Chairman of People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, Desmond Akawor had promised to give Rivers Angels the sum of one million naira for every goal scored at the qualifiers.
