A building has collapsed in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, with rescue operations currently underway at the scene.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening, about an hour before the report, prompting emergency responders to mobilise to the area.
According to Lere Olayinka, media aide to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Men of the FCT Fire Service are currently carrying out rescue operations, while three ambulances have also been stationed at the scene.
He said building was reportedly sealed earlier in the day by the FCT Administration’s Development Control Department, which directed occupants to vacate the premises.
The cause of the collapse and the number of casualties, if any, were not immediately known as of press time.
