President, Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly asked all political appointees with political ambitions to resign before May 16, 2022.
President Buhari gave the order today, at the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, disclosed this after the meeting, chaired by the President.
He noted that the directive does not affect Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo because he is an elected member.
Those affected are, Ministers of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio; Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu; Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, amongst others.
