The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has announced the official commissioning of the Bonny Fire Station, a project aimed at strengthening emergency response services and improving the protection of lives and property in the area.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Bonny Local Government Chairman, Amb. Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo, the commissioning ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Bonny Fire Station located along Asimini Bypass Road, Bonny.
The event will be attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dumle Maol, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The Council Chairman has invited residents of Bonny, stakeholders, community leaders, political associates, and members of the public to witness what he described as a historic milestone in the development of Bonny Local Government Area.
The new fire station is expected to enhance emergency response capacity and contribute to the safety and security of lives and property across the local government.
