The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has extended ₦1 million in welfare support to two elderly citizens of the area.
The beneficiaries, Mrs. Patience Pepple, popularly known as Sisi Ndappa, and Madam Fortune Johnson Banigo, received ₦500,000 each.
According to a statement from the Office of Media and Communications, Bonny Local Government Council, the gesture is aimed at supporting the well-being of the elderly, particularly those who require assistance with their small businesses.
The presentation was made on Monday by the council’s Protocol Officer II, Mrs. Rebecca Banigo, on behalf of the chairman.
The council said the support reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of senior citizens in Bonny.
