The Bonny Local Government Council in Rivers State has invited beneficiaries of its N200 million Women Empowerment Scheme to the official presentation of their empowerment cheques.
The presentation, directed by the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Government Lodge, from 9:00 a.m.
Chief Press Secretary to the Bonny Local Government Council, Amb. Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo in a statement said under the scheme, each beneficiary will receive N500,000 to strengthen and expand their businesses, enhance their capacity and support sustainable livelihoods.
The council advised all beneficiaries to be seated by 8:30 a.m. ahead of the presentation.
