Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has urged people of the State to be proud of where they come from and raise their shoulders high anywhere they find themselves.
Speaking at an event in Omuma on Tuesday, the governor said while others are talking about insecurity, they are talking about commissioning and inauguration of projects in the State.
He said his administration has delivered on its campaign promises and would continue to deliver more legacy projects across the state.
Wike said whether people likes it or not that he is in charge, as he advised people not to fight who God has blessed.
“Don’t fight anybody that God has blessed. Don’t fight the state that God has blessed. People are talking about insecurity. We are talking about commissioning and flagging-off of projects. Is it easy? If it is easy, let them try it,” he said.
“Whether they like it or not, we are in charge. Rivers people, are you not proud of your state? If you’re a Rivers man, anywhere you go, raise your shoulder high and say that you’re a Rivers man and woman,” he added.
