The Rivers State Police Command, says an autopsy will be conducted on the woman, Solution Amadi allegedly strangled to death by her husband in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson of the command Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this in a statement Today.
He said the man has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department and that findings on the matter would be made public.
He also said the case was reported to the Aluu Divisional Police station by brother of the deceased.
Omoni called for calm, adding that the case will not be swept under the carpet.
