Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe has revealed what late Apostle, G.D. Numbere of Greater Evangelism World Crusade once told him while he was alive.
Speaking, during the 50th Anniversary celebration of the church at its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Abe said the cleric prophesied that nothing was going to happen to him until he fulfils his destiny in Rivers State.
He stated that he had a personal relationship with the late Apostle, and vowed to do whatever it is to sustain the church and its legacy.
Part of his statement reads,
As a person, I have a very personal relationship with Apostle Numbere.
When I was Commissioner of Information here in Rivers State, there was a day Pastor Numbere came to my office unannounced and told me that he wanted to pray with me, and that I should kneel down, and I knelt down.
He said that God told him to pray with me and that nothing will happen to me until I fulfill my destiny in this state. And that the Almighty God will protect me until I fulfill my destiny.
So even when I am in the plane and the plane is shaking and I want to be afraid, I will remember Apostle Numbere and I will say no, nothing will happen to me. Even when I fall sick and everybody around me is panicking, I remember Apostle Numbere and I will say, nothing will happen to me.
I have never disclosed that encounter to anybody, this is the first day I am saying this on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this church.
And I am saying that to assure members of Numbere’s family who may not have known why I have been so committed to anything that concerns God’s family and to assure members of this church that I will always be part of those who will do whatever is possible to build and sustain this church and to sustain his legacy.
