A Port Harcourt resident has decried the lack of receptacles at the old Port Harcourt Township in Rivers State.
The Borokiri resident during a call-in programme on NIGRINFO yesterday, revealed that children drink from pipes connected to the same river where residents of New road, Bonny Street and Creek road dispose their waste as a result of lack of receptacles in the area.
He alleged that the Councilor of the area and other officials of the council are aware of the situation, but have failed to do anything to salvage it.
He said the river is located near the office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and control.
He appealed to the government and other relevant angencies to come to their aide.
