National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Umar Ganduje has inaugurated the newly elected executive committee of the party led by Chief, Tony Okocha in Rivers State.
Speaking, during the event held in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Ganduje who was accompanied by 16 members of the NWC of the party, congratulated the state executives, and charged them to work for the growth of the party.
According to him, the party is on a mission to takeover the South South, adding that after taking over Edo State, Rivers State was next. Ganduje also declared that no division exists in the party in the State, declaring Tony Okocha the substantive chairman of Rivers APC.
He commended stakeholders of the party for their support and dedication to the party, urging them to continue supporting the current administration to succeed.
During his acceptance speech, the newly elected Rivers APC Chairman, Okocha commended the the National Chairman and other leaders of the party for the visit, and vowed to work with his team to takeover the state.
In attendance were National and State leaders of the party, past and present federal lawmakers, traditional rulers, captains of industries, stakeholders of the party amongst others.
