Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, Desmond Akawor has said that the current Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi would decamp to the party in no distant time.
Akawor, disclosed this when he received scores of defectors into the party in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state, on Thursday.
He said Amaechi had left the party to unseat the then President, Goodluck Jonathan and that it was time for him to return to the party.
The Chairmanship candidate of the African Action Congress, Chairman of SDP in the area, and former Caretaker Chairman of the LGA, were among the defectors.
The defectors, said they decided to join the PDP due to the achievements of Governor Nyesom Wike and the Chairman of the LGA, Samuel Nwanosike.
