Activist, Israel Joe, has claimed to possess additional evidence allegedly linking content creator Odogwu Asaba to the case involving the late Favour Agbro, who reportedly died after accusing him of rape.
In a post shared on Thursday, Joe alleged that Odogwu Asaba was being taken to the Delta State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Asaba, where he would face further investigation.
He further claimed to have screenshots of conversations between the suspect and the deceased, alleging that the messages showed Favour repeatedly asking for financial assistance for medical treatment after the alleged assault.
According to him, the conversations also suggested that the suspect threatened and intimidated the victim, allegedly challenging her to report the matter to her parents or the police.
Joe criticized those he described as “Facebook lawyers” for blaming the deceased and insisted that the evidence in his possession would be made available to investigators and presented in court rather than shared publicly.
He also alleged that the victim came from a poor family and had repeatedly sought financial help for treatment before her death.
The Delta State Police Command had earlier confirmed the arrest of Odogwu Asaba in connection with allegations of rape following the reported death of the young woman. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
