The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has appointed 37 additional members to its 2027 Governorship Campaign Council following the successful inauguration of the council.
The State Chairman of the party, Chief (Engr.) Dr Chukwudi Dimkpa, announced the supplementary appointments, which cut across various directorates of the campaign council.
According to Dimkpa, the appointments are aimed at strengthening the party’s campaign structure by bringing together individuals with diverse experiences and capacities to contribute to its political objectives ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
He congratulated the newly appointed members and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline, unity and a strong sense of purpose.
Dimkpa noted that although the campaign council had been inaugurated, the real work of mobilising support and advancing the party’s mission in the state had begun.
He reiterated the party’s commitment to building what it described as “the Rivers we deserve,” a slogan reflecting its vision for the state.
The supplementary appointments are expected to reinforce the ADC’s campaign machinery as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
