The African Democratic Congress (African Democratic Congress) has announced the expulsion of several members following resolutions reached at its National Convention held on April 14, 2026, in Abuja.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC said the decision followed the adoption of a disciplinary motion against members found to have acted in violation of its constitution and core values.
According to the party, the affected individuals immediately cease to be members of the ADC and are free to join or explore other political platforms, adding that any party willing to receive them is at liberty to do so. The party also reaffirmed its commitment to discipline, internal democracy, and adherence to the rule of law.
The convention, which took place at the Rainbow Event Centre, Garki, Abuja, was presided over by the party’s National Chairman, David Mark.
Those expelled include Hon. Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Don Norman Obinna, Kennedy Odion, Clement Ehigiator, Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.
The decision followed the consideration and adoption of a motion on the discipline of erring members, which was presented and ratified by delegates at the convention.
With the development, the ADC said it will continue to strengthen internal discipline and consolidate its position as a credible alternative for Nigerians.
