The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially received a petition submitted by the party, calling for the immediate removal or resignation of the INEC Chairman.
According to the ADC, the petition was forwarded through the National Secretary of the party and outlines several allegations against the electoral body’s chairman. These include claims of partisan conduct, gross misconduct, constitutional breaches, and actions perceived as threats to Nigeria’s multi-party democracy.
The party maintained that the move is aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the country’s electoral system and ensuring that democratic principles are upheld.
ADC urged relevant authorities to take swift action on the petition in the interest of transparency, fairness, and the preservation of democratic governance.
