The Rivers State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr Gabriel Pidomson, has declared that he would not accept any attempt to rig the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Pidomson, who spoke while addressing supporters, alleged that former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, had never won a free and fair election in the state.
According to him, the ADC and its members were familiar with Wike’s political strategies, having worked with him in the past.
“Wike has never won a free and fair election in Rivers State. We know him; we have worked with him before. We know his strategies, and we will cage him,” Pidomson said.
The ADC candidate also warned that he would not resort to litigation if his electoral mandate was allegedly manipulated, saying he would directly confront those responsible.
“I Won’t Go to Court, If You Rig My Vote, I Will Come After You,” he said.
Pidomson’s comments come ahead of the 2027 governorship election, with political parties and candidates already intensifying their campaigns and mobilisation across Rivers State.
