The Rivers State University (RSU) is set to launch a comprehensive Digital Initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency, innovation, and service delivery across the institution.
The launch, scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026, will take place at the Senate Chamber of the Dr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike Senate Building by 12 noon.
The initiative, themed “Digital Transformation for Excellence and Service,” is designed to modernize the university’s academic, administrative, and technological operations through the deployment of several digital projects.
According to the university, the projects to be unveiled include FiriX, a document and workflow management system; Campus-Wide Internet; SponsorsLink; MedixTrak; e CAMPUS ASPIRE; the RSU Alumni Website; Digital Screens; the Creative and Innovation Academy; VLearning; and the Computer for All Programme (CAP).
The Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, staff, and students, has invited members of the university community and the general public to attend the event.
In a statement signed by the Acting Registrar, Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the university described the launch as a landmark event that underscores its commitment to leveraging technology to improve teaching, learning, research, and institutional administration.
The Digital Initiative is expected to strengthen RSU’s position as a leading institution in digital innovation and higher education development in Nigeria.
