It was a  sad one for the Akuku Toru people yesterday as 8 persons travelling from Kula to Port Harcourt were kidnapped along the Kula sea.

According to reports, Five out of the eight members who were kidnapped are members of the maritime workers union in Kula.

We also gathered that the kula unit and the Abonnema unit of the union were asked to come for a meeting at the State office in Port Harcourt  when they were kidnapped.

Tge Rivers State police command is yet to issue a statement.
