Spokesperson of the Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Sogbeye Eli has called on the Igbos in the state not to vote for the candidate of Governor, Nyesom Wike, SIM Fubara in next saturday’s election.
Eli, in a statement while reacting to the alleged invitation of leaders of the Igbo community in the state by the governor, accused Wike of destroying the votes of Peter Obi in the state in last saturday’s election.
He also accused the governor of crushing IPOB members in Oyigbo LGA, insulting Peter Obi in Anambra state, forcing him out of the PDP and hiding behind the flyover project traversing Olu Obasanjo road and Azikiwe street to evict Igbo traders from Ikokwu.

1. Wike crushed IPOB members in Oyigbo LGA.
2. Wike went to Anambra State to insult Peter Obi and forced him out of the PDP.
3. Wike hid behind the Flyover project traversing Olu Obasanjo Road and Azikiwe Street to evict Igbo traders from Ikokwu, thereby displacing hundreds of millions worth of their businesses.
4. Wike has a right to fight for Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC to win the presidential election. But going as far as rigging Peter Obi with such brazen impunity to destroy his well-earned votes in Rivers State is fatal to Igbo equity interest in the Nigerian presidency.
Once they say is happenstance. Twice they say is coincidence.
The third time is enemy action.
What do we call a fourth hurt of Ndi Igbo by one man? What would Igbo leaders who are invited to this meeting tomorrow do? Betray Obi and the Igbo he has insulted and continues to undermine? Or stick with the dignity of the Igbo man and woman as well as the man who rallied Nigerians behind his Labour party ticket in such unprecedented manner in post-civil war Nigerian politics by an Igbo in just five months?
Igbo kwenu!! You must vote against the candidate Wike is pushing for Rivers State Governor on March 11, 2023. The name of the business is now nyedeba nyedeba!!
Therefore, if Peter Obi, a former Governor, is not qualified to be President then his protege Siminalayi Fubara; that political rookie who has not been a mere Council Chairman, must be punished with the huge Igbo votes in Rivers State.
