Nollywwood Actor Yul Edochie has replied Reno Omokri over comments that Nollywood has made people believe Nigerians are diabolical, stating “It’s all entertainment.”
Omokri had few days ago taken a swipe at the movie industry in a series of tweets on his social media handle. He said, “I sometimes wonder if Nollywood is an appropriate name for the Nigerian movie industry. Perhaps Jujuwood would be a more fitting name. No other institution has been as responsible for the stereotyping of Nigerians as diabolical people as Nollywood!”
Yul responded on his Instagram Page stating that “its all entertainment.” He further asked if all the guns been portrayed in American movies have stopped Reno, from applying for visa.
He said, “Speak to foreign investors investors. Their fear is the failing economy of Nigeria, the insecurity and the fact that government can wake up one day and make laws that can cripple all their investments.”
