The lifeless body of the President of the Omoku Youth Federation, Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu, has been found in a forest area of Omoku, Rivers State.
The remains were discovered by members of the local vigilante group, OSPAC, in the Elieta Forest on Friday without the head.
Comrade Azuazu was reportedly abducted by unidentified gunmen on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Omoku. During the incident, his personal aide was shot and killed, while Azuazu was taken away by the attackers.
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the development and said an investigation is underway.
Police Spokesperson, Grace Koko said efforts have been intensified to identify and arrest those responsible for the crime.
She urged residents to remain calm and provide any useful information that could assist the investigation.
